Bunny Creates Plumbing Disaster
The Offending Tunnel
Free range bunnies have created havoc with my borehole pipes. If any of you have lived on a small holding you know the sinking feeling you get when you hear those words '...there's no water!'
It means hours of hunting for the problem and often digging up half the property to find the offending pipe.
I share my property with another family and they have created this lovely little animal farm with bunnies, guinea pigs, geese and chickens.
When they first started the project all the animals where kept in a hutch but as the years have progressed they are all now running freely around the property.
Well we all know that rabbits love to dig and if left to their own devices they will create these massive warrens with tunnels going off in all directions.
Unfortunatly that is exactly what they did, they built their premises right next to a water pipe. I did not have the heart to evict them so I had to cut the pipe, relay it around the warren and then reconnect it again on the other side. Not a small undetaking I might add.
So between geese swimming in my pool and bunnies chewing my pipes life seems very normal at the moment.
