Rex Cats- Crimped Curled and Ready to Party

The coat of Rex Cat is what sets it aside from the other house cats. It looks wavy and feels soft and smooth like velvet to the touch. They have very lovable flamboyant personalities and can be very entertaining.

Selkirk Rex

Rex Cat

These cats are the ones that lent their designer hairstyles to the era of the great Gatsby. Their hair is sometimes curly but mostly it is crimped, naturally, I might add, no crimping iron required.

Cornish Rex

Three guesses who had a hand in the making of this breed. Yep the Siamese was involved here hence the big ears.

These cats are often compared to dogs (although don’t go telling them this, with the whole cat vs dog issue) because of their playful and exuberant characters and they will also follow you around like a dog, just don’t expect them to bark.

La Perm

This is another Rex cat but with an even more unique coat. They are very bold and will soon let you know if you are not paying enough attention to them. (Long or Shorthaired)

I really don’t know why people make such a fuss over conductors.
I have been doing some conducting myself lately and it is really very easy.
You just wave your hands around and the music comes out.

American Curl

So called because of the shape of their ears.

This is a juvenile delinquent that looks just like Shrek.
(Long or Shorthaired)

Scottish Fold

Weird Cats Scottish Fold

At first glance this looks like an earless cat but that is not so. They are born with normal ears and then 21 days later the ear just folds forward. Their purr is loud enough to compete than your lawnmower.

(Long or Shorthaired)

Sphinx

The weirdest cat that looks just like Yoda from star Wars. It is hairless has big ears and big eyes and when it stares at you it seems to be using all these mind control techniques.

They operate more on intuition than instinct especially when caring for you their adopted family. The Psychologists of the cat world.

Burmilla

This one looks like a showgirl all made up and ready to party but don’t be fooled. Despite their showgirl looks theses are not party animals and they don’t like a lot of noise.

Turkish Van

The swimming cat. They are real busybodies and have to be involved in everything that is going on. (Sound familiar).

Bobtail

Weird Cats Bobtail

Large out going cat with a bunny tail. If they don’t have a tail they are called ‘rumpies’. Legend has it that a princess threaded her rings onto the cats’ tail for safekeeping and the cat tied his tail in a knot so they didn’t fall off.

(Long or Shorthaired)

Manx

This is the one with no tail. They have a serene outward appearance beneath which lies the heart of a true mischief maker.

(Long or Shorthaired)
